The REFLEX study was carried out between 2000 and 2004 by 12 research teams from seven European countries, mainly funded by the EU Commission. The REFLEX study is the most comprehensive study ever done on the safety of Mobile Phones and Wi-Fi.
Results obtained at the Medical University of Vienna showed that low frequency as well as RF electromagnetic fields cause significant damage to human cells by damaging DNA (Genes). Damage to Genes is associated with Serious Diseases and Health Problems including Cancers, Chronic Pain, Heart Disease, Kidney and Liver Damage, Musculoskeletal Diseases, Depression and Anxiety, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s as well as many other deadly diseases.
Genotoxic effects (Damage to Genes) such as DNA strands breaks were observed in isolated human fibroblast exposed to UMTS radiation already at a special absorption rate (SAR) of 0.05 W/kg. this only one-fortieth of the current valid exposure limit. Under GSM radiation and otherwise identical experimental conditions a SAR value of 0.3 W/kg, that is one-sixth of the currently valid exposure limit, was necessary to significantly increase the rate of DNA strand breaks (REFLEX Final Report).

Consider that any cell phone at or below these SAR levels of 1.6 W/kg is considered a ‘SAFE PHONE’.
In the EU, a SAR value of 2W/kg has been allowed while the permissible SAR value in the US is 1.6 W/kg. In other countries of the world, SAR safety levels are 1.6 W/kg and many mobile phones operate around this level.
